AI 的龐大算力需求，讓大批企業大力擴張相關伺服器與資料中心建設，造成一系列資源掠奪戰而引發當地居民的不滿，於是微軟在日前公布新的政策，目的是希望減少地方衝擊，與大家成為和平共處的好鄰居，但 CEO 的貼文底下留言卻是收到滿滿的網友批評。

微軟在 1 月 13 日公開一份「建構以社區為先的人工智慧基礎設施」的政策說明，內容主要集中在如何減少機房對地方帶來的負面影響，以及建立前後所能帶來的好處。

內文中，微軟承諾 AI 資料中心不會造成當地電費上漲，他們會全部吸收當地電網的升級成本，還能刺激地方電力系統的升級。同時在水資源的利用上，會透過改善機房散熱設計，如利用封閉式循環系統，實現補充大於消耗。

另外，機房的建設將會帶動大量就業機會，更會與北美建築師公會合作，創造約 44 萬份短期勞工職缺。開始營運之後，微軟會全額繳納地方稅務，不尋求減免，並以華盛頓州昆西市為例，地方收入從 US$ 6,000 萬暴增到了 US$ 1.8 億，大幅提升地方財務的收入。

最後，還會釋出相關免費培訓，提供 AI 教育給十二年教育系統、圖書館、小型企業，外加籌組捐款支持當地非營利組織。

太遲了，人們已經討厭AI」，更有網友搬出一部微軟自家律師的會議影片，指出資料中心不會帶來就業且不受歡迎，呼籲大家全力抵抗。

還有一部份網友，則是嘲諷微軟都已經因為 AI 開除一大堆員工了，還有臉稱創造就業機會；再加上近年 Windows 11 各種擁抱 AI 後，反而導致系統 Bug 更多、穩定性更差，感受不到所謂的幫助與進步。

目前，美國正面臨 AI 資料中心「吞噬」過多當地資源的問題，包含電力、水源的大量消耗外，24 小時不間斷旁放的龐大廢熱、噪音也會嚴重破壞四周環境與居住品質，使許多地方都開始反對相關建設的興建。
